Tethia Asunder
Tethia Asunder is a fantasy runner and visual novel set in the world of Sauronia, a massive world populated by reptilian humanoids. Through both narrative cutscenes and infinite runner gameplay, the player follows Tahiri, a disaffected dinosaur prince, as he battles the mysterious blight that has overtaken the kingdom, investigates the disappearance of his brother, and interacts with a medley of colorful, opinionated Tethian denizens. With determination, Tahiri sets out on a journey to save his kingdom and find his brother.

OUR EVIL OVERLORD (PRODUCER)
SAI MANDIL - Producer, Composer. Hi my name is Sai. I'm a video game composer based in Los Angeles. I assembled the Ludoraptor Studio team in the Summer of 2024 after we all volunteered at GDC as Conference Associates. I'm very grateful that everyone joined together without hesitation, even though many of us had never actually met each other before. I produced Tethia Asunder and I also composed the music, and helped with the narrative. This was my first time producing, and it gave me so much insight to the game development process. Next I will be working on a short quest game with a small team. I will be composing an adaptive score for the project, and learning to use FMOD and integrate it with Unity.

2D ART TEAM
CATO EMERSON - Creature & character design, creator of the "Tethia" world and species, art director, & narrative. (Basically Sai opened Pandora's box when she brought me to the team. Oops, all dinosaurs.)
Heya, my name is Cato Emerson! I am a 2D creature & character designer, art director/director, and narrative writer! I have a foot in both the realms of game and film, as I am currently pursuing a degree in film. I was the art director & lead character artist of this project, and responsible for the initial creation of the world of Tethia, creating it's species and characters, and I was also drew most of the sprites for in-game NPCs, UI design, and cutscenes. I love all things dinosaur, monsters, dragons, and horror! I have learned how to work with a remote team. I learned new teamwork and communication skills. I also learned how to direct and collaborate artists to bring a world and its characters to life. This project and the AMAZING Ludoraptor team has given me experience that I will be carrying with me moving forward with my career in both game and film!

DESTINY SALAHI - 2D Environment & character concept artist
Hello! My name is Destiny Salahi and I am a 2D artist based in Florida. As a Full Sail University graduate my skills vary from concept art and character design. I have always lived by the saying "Do what excites you." and "Tethia Asunder" certainly excited me. For this project I have had the honor in being an environmental artist and a character artist. This was my first time I was able to work with a team of other talented individuals on a video game. In doing so, I have learned how to push my boundaries as an environmental artist and how to collaborate with a team in order to bring this project to fruition. I cannot thank the team who I now consider my friends enough for this opportunity. As for the future I will continue to push myself and implement my skills to future opportunities as well as grow my portfolio.

NARRATIVE
OLIVIA BERNARD - Narrative design
Hi there! I'm a narrative designer and game writer with a love of dinos, fungi, and crabby characters with hearts of gold. I was responsible writing the dialogue of seven NPCs; helping design the story and world; coordinating eight beta readers; copy- and content-editing the script; and generally scrubbing and polishing all of our hard work. Thanks to the efforts of this amazing team, Tethia Asunder is a project I'm proud to have in my portfolio! Now I’m off to create more funny little guys for my next story.

PROGRAMMING & GAMEPLAY
ZAID BENYACOUB - Gameplay designer
I am a game designer and I was the gameplay designer for Tethia Asunder. I had a lot of fun designing the gameplay for the combat sections and coming up with what the player would be doing in this game. Working with the Ludoraptor team taught me about the challenges of working with a remote team and how to communicate better online with my other developers. I also had to work very hard to stay within scope and make the most of what I could ask of the programmers and the artists while keeping the game fun and interesting. I hope you enjoy! As for what I am doing next, I am working as a game designer for Ilham inc. on their new survival-craft game. You can check that out here: ilhaminc.com

STEVEN FISCHER - Gameplay programmer
I developed several core gameplay and boss mechanics and assisted in the level generator system. I learned about the difficulties of working with a remote team with varying schedules, but also how to create an endless runner-type game. I'm glad to add this project to my portfolio and continue to work on my other projects, including a Zork-like text adventure and a series of First-Person fantasy action adventure games!

SEAN TAYLOR - Gameplay engineer
Hello! I'm Sean Taylor, a Unity developer and gameplay engineer. I was brought onto the team to help bring the project across the finish line. My job was developing features and making adjustments in Unity including filling out the running scenery and implementing game audio. This was my first time using FMOD and Ink, both of which I have found to be very convenient and powerful tools. I very much enjoyed my short time working with team Ludoraptor on this project! As this chapter comes to a close, I will continue my job search while hopefully starting on a solo game project to showcase along side this one.

MAHIN SOWANI - Quality Assurance
Developed and executed test cases, covering regression, black-box, and exploratory testing. Actively sought to "break" the game through rigorous testing to uncover and document critical bugs, ensuring a high-quality product for players. What you learned from this project: Improve test case writing, maintenance, and execution skills through practical application. Gained valuable experience in testing a casual runner with a narrative. What do you plan to do next: Integrate this amazing project into my portfolio and continue to improve my QA and Game Development skills for my future.
